It's estimated that 2000 chickens died in their crates in my neighborhood of Boro Park, Brooklyn, while awaiting a horrific fate. The Alliance to End
Chickens as Kaporos has been publicizing the fact that these chickens, exposed to all temperature extremes, without any protection, are not fed or given
water. As they die of starvation, dehydration, exposure, and injury, they are discarded like trash into garbage bags, and then into dumpsters. Let us not
allow these chickens to have died in vain. Let us show Kaporos organizers and practitioners that these are sentient beings who matter. Please join us for a
vigil at Skwere Mosdos synagogue at 1419 - 45th Street in Brooklyn on Monday, Sept 16th, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Please join the vigil: event information.

The Alliance to End Chickens as Kaporos is a project of United Poultry Concerns comprising an association of groups and individuals
who seek to replace the use of chickens in Kaporos rituals with money or other non-animal symbols of atonement.
