Kaporos Press Briefing in Brooklyn Oct. 1, 2014 @ 11am
Alliance to End Chickens as Kaporos invites your attendance

PRESS BRIEFING: Oct. 1 from 11:00-11:30am 792 Eastern Parkway & Kingston

The Alliance to End Chickens as Kaporos will hold a half-hour press briefing on the sidewalk at 792 Eastern Parkway & Kingston Avenue – where thousands of chickens from factory farms are immobilized in transport crates without food, water or shelter awaiting the Kaporos ritual in which they are painfully swung by their wings and slaughtered illegally in open air tents.

Alliance founder Karen Davis, PhD, President of United Poultry Concerns, will speak for 15 minutes to the press, answer questions, and provide press packets about the animal cruelty and public health laws that are being broken by Kaporos practitioners, and what needs to be done to eliminate this cruel, illegal, and unsanitary ritual.

If you are in New York City, please attend our October 1 press briefing on behalf of the chickens at 11am in Crown Heights corner of Eastern Parkway & Kingston Avenue in Brooklyn. Last year thousands of Kaporos chickens died in their crates of heart failure, dehydration, starvation, exhaustion and heat stroke. Many more chickens were left on sidewalks in pouring rain as practitioners ran for cover. It is time to put an end to this nightmare.
